World’s Coolest Intern

Logging in to my Nuffnang account is one of my automated online-rituals whenever I switch on the lappie. Other than sycotically checking my analytics (daily, weeky AND monthly, jeez), I noticed that there was this contest (grin grin!) relating to blog entries! Honestly, that's the only thing I could participate confidently. Anyway! The prize this time wasn't any cool movie premiers but instead... wait for it! A super cool 6-month internship programme with Standard freakin Chartered in Singapore! And if that wasn't cool enough, you get paid for it in Sing dollars yo!

And since I just finished my degree two months back, I though why not give this a go =)
Anyway! My task now is to come up with super cool reasons why I deserve to win this thing and more importantly, how I would greatly benefit from this programme *responsible nod*

I chose to pursue a degree in Accounting & Finance because I wanted to be involved with numbers and of course, earning the big bucks! However, accountants are always thought of as nerdy and not-cool slash fun (zzz!) but that's so not true! Sometimes I do secretly wish I pursued Mass Communications as a second degree. Lol. I know it's not too late but I guess I shall just keep my fun and cool bits for after-work =)

ANYWAY!
Let's zoom in to my fun and cool bits now! (okay it's weird trying to sound like I'm so full of myself *cough* =P)
This contest mentioned that Standard Chartered is looking for those who are super into this social networks shyts but err.. I can't help wondering is that's some sort of trick question! Hahah. I mean, I thought employers HATED the internet and were sworn enemies with Facebook :S

Anyways, I'm just going to tell the actual (sycotic) truth about my online habits. Hehe.
The first thing I do when I come online is sign in to Windows Live to check my mails and appear offline on chat. LOL!
Next comes Facebook and as soon as I enter my password, I log in into TweetDeck while waiting for Facebook to open.
I hate wasting even a second online. Lol.
I installed TweetDeck after looking at it on my ck's desktop. It looked kinda cool with it's synchronisation with Facebook, Twitter and Gmail.
Upon opening all this me-related shyts, then I start streaming various tv shows to load so I can watch it comfortably while lying on the bed =P

Ok I guess i haven't gotten to the point AT ALL sheesh!
Anyway I'll be a super cool intern cos I'm all cool in the inside! Lol.
When it comes to work, I am responsible enough to perform the basic shyts like punctuality issues and completion of tasks. It's not really because I"m a kiasu-fied nut but mostly cos I hate getting told off.
ABSOLUTELY HATE IT.
So I just try my best to prevent it in the first place =)

And also, I think I've worked in so many places, so many types of jobs, from cinema ticket counters, maths tutor, events, promoter shyts, science camps and even in an accounting firm. Heck, I just worked these past 4 days at a party shop in conjunction with Halloween.
So, I kinda know how to deal with my employer and colleagues but on the other hand, the downsides would surely be the lack of expertise due to the fact that these jobs were mostly on a temporary basis. But of course, it was because I had to attend school =)

Also, I can't wait to start working so I can have some incoming cash in order to take the next step in life! Psst! At the moment, I'm DYING to get an iPod Touch 4! Sigh! Facebooking and Twittering 24/7! Uber coolness yo! Hahhaha =)
So yeah, I can't wait to start earning money so I can plan my future and progress accordingly.
And having a job that i love is a must!
If you love your job, it would not even seem like work! That's the best thing EVAR!
I always hope that I will have a job that will suit me in every way. A job that requires me to utilise MY abilities to get things done and having a great time at that!

Actually, I had plans to apply for an internship in local companies although my degree allows me to start work straight away. I believe an internship would provide a better learning opportunity although it pays less. (of course, winning this would be a TOTALLY different story altogether heheh)

Anyway, it would be the ultimate coolest thing ever to win this cos the prize is almost like a dream. An internship by itself is an asset and plus, working in Singapore would be a total eye (and mind!) opener (and did I mention super SUPER cool!?) anddddd getting paid of SGD30,000 for it is just bonkers baybehh!

Too bad it's only for one winner =(
But I'm just trying my luck anyway especially since writing this entry was hardly any work *wink*

Oh and since I was working at 1Utama for Halloween these past 4 days, I noticed that Malaysians DO take Halloween prettayyy seriously! Who would have thought huh? I'm SO going for trick or treat next year! =P
And what do you know, October's gone and 2011 is just two months away! It's madddddd how time flies!
I still feel 17 sometimes. Sigh!
Deepavali's next Friday! And it's gonna be at Penang this time!

last week had been so hectic!
monday started off scarily since i had my driving test.
gosh,i was super duper scared!
carried along god statues & pictures along and all.
as soon as i passed my hill, parking and 3 point turn, i wanted to scream with joy but still had that road test to take, hehe.
but as soon as i passed the road as well, wahhhhh, my sis was waiting for me, so i just squealed happilyyyy!
hehhe.

have been practicing driving around ever since but i find it difficult to estimate the car's width whenever i drive.

i passed my driving test!

teenage dream

we indians practice this custom called navarathri every year.
it usually lasts ten days considering they count it as nine nights. lol.
anyway, those worshiping Hinduism's utmost, you may say, Divine Mother, usually need to go to the temple during these nine nights, well according to me at least hehe, at while at that, practice vegetarian eating habits.
okay anyway!
since im just rotting away at home, i decided to stock up the fridge with loads of vegetarian crap.
sigh, i really wish i could just shut up and eat oats.
on monday, i cooked vegetarian mutton, black pepper style =)
and even made rasam, which is an indian soup thingy. that was a first!
and since the rest of the family were still selfishly eating meat, i made fish sambal for them.
i even marinated and pre-fried the fish with flour and shyt.
my point is, im putting so much of effort into food when i shud be shutting up and eating oats!
sigh!

and today i made vegetarian chicken instead. sambal style of course! lol.
also stirfried some leafy shyt which turned out tasteless cos even oyster sauce is not allowed.
zzz!
and i cooked rice without a rice cooker!
lol.
and even added some tomato puree and indian spices in it!
and made sirap limau ais.
aihssss.
how la!
lol.

and im already planning to made vegetarian nasi lemak for breakfast tomoro.
gosh.
i think im gonna gain weight by being a vegetarian la. lol.

ANYWAY!
went for some pink night event yday organised by women's weekly at mid valley.
i had hot chocolate for breakfast before that.
shared some chocolate cake from coffee bean for lunch with my sis after that.
the goodie bag from the event came with a chocolate cupcake from secret recipe.
SHEESH.
and ended the tiring day with iced chocolate for dinner.
the only form of fuel my body gets is either in the form of sambal, chocolate or coke.
:S
anyway, SO MANY people turned up for the event yday.
it was obviously for the goodie bags as it supposedly was worth rm150.
well it did contain MANY cool shyts but seriously, where did all these people come from?!??!
they certainly dont look like the readers of the magazines!
and most of these idiotic people were cutting the queue and being a total pain in the ass.
SIGH.
then there was a small challenge shyt where you gotta go collect stamps from 3 different outlets across mid valley, entitling you to another goodie bag.
lol.
60 year old aunties and mothers carrying TWO kids were rushing here and there!

in conjunction with this event, well its actually a breast cancer awareness shyt, and many outlets were having a sale for those with the invitation to these event.
topshop, dorothy perkins, heart attack, guess, charles & keith, padini and more were having sales of 10% right up to 50%.

anyway!
something big is happening this monday and am shyt scaredddddddddddddddddd!
if that happens in my favour, i will have absolutely no complains in life anymore!
well except my weight but yeah!

okay lovers!
this is my new sanctuary now =)

for the past two weeks, im been having really crazy, stupid dreams every night, and a few different dreams at that.
the dreams are usually quite gross (non-sexual, sigh) and sadistic.
and the irritating part is that i keep thinking of the bits and pieces throughout the day!
sheesh!

anyway, i wanna rant a lil about Eat, Pray, Love.
I met my cousin that day for coffee and she was telling me how much she loved the movie and how she felt connected to Liz Gilbert's character. She even cried during the movie and rushed to buy the book right after the movie.
lol.
but i didnt wanna be such a bytch and totally condemn the movie cos i guess everyone has their own opinion and whatnots.
i just told her what i told everyone else.
that the movie was OKAY. i didnt particularly like the ending.
maybe the travel-round-the-world thing was cool but it wasnt a big deal for me cos i watch TLC like 24/7 at home hahah.
but julia roberts, no doubt, did a fantastic job.
she's bloody gorgeous, that i admit.
i HATED james franco's character omg hateeeeee!

i've been bumming around for nearly 2 months now.
thats bad!
no income and getting fatter! shheshhh.
but i need to finish up this driving shyt before anything else and i dont know why the process is taking so damn long!
and my phobia towards it is not helping!

and im all broke now cos i used my salary to pay for it! =(

im gonna be a vegetarian for the next 9 days for some prayers.
its a normal tradition that happens every year and i dont know why i instantly start craving for carnivorous crap the second i start the deal.

p/s: i know this is (super) corny but i'm gonna miss my old blog. it contains so muchhhhh of my shyt hahaha and i think it's time to leave those shyt behind. i mean, the good parts will always be with me but the bad stuffs, i think i really wanna leave it behind. i'm still deciding whether or not to delete it but i think i'll prolly leave it inactive. yeah, for my mum to stumble upon it 30 years later. hahah. i think it's best i delete it then! i really considered not having a blog at all, lol, but fail la! i just love to rant and rant AND RANT! =P and i dont know if i've mentioned this before, i prolly would have lol; but my previous blog's title, too close for comfort, its actually from Rihanna's Disturbia lyrics.
